The Tennessee Highway Patrol [THP] is currently investigating an incident that occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Friday in Graysville.
According to the officials with the Graysville Volunteer Fire Department and Graysville Police Chief Julie Tanksley, first responders were called to the scene of Keylon’s Market on Dayton Avenue Friday afternoon when a truck crashed into the front entrance of the business.
According to the initial report, three individuals were struck inside the store, including a juvenile.
One of the victims was reportedly transported to a hospital to be treated for his injuries. However, no detailed update on his status was available as of press time Tuesday.
“My officer on the scene called me upon arrival, and we decided to let Tennessee Highway Patrol take over the situation as we were unsure about the damage to the juvenile in the accident,” Tanksley said. “Looking at the video, it appeared he would have suffered more serious injuries, so we’re thankful he only had a few abrasions. It was truly a miracle from God,” Tanksley said.
This is a developing story and more details will be released once THP finalizes a report on the accident.
