Frieda Mae Curtin, 80, of Cookeville, Tenn. and formerly of Dayton, died Sunday, February 28, 2010 at Cumberland River Medical Center in Celina, Tenn.
Mrs. Curtin was born in Chattanooga, Tenn. on March 25, 1929, the daughter of the late Ed and Sally Wilson Abbott. She was a longtime resident of Dayton and had lived in Cookeville, Tenn. for the past ten years. In Cookeville, she was active with the Senior Center, and in Dayton she was a member of the Dayton Church of God of Prophecy.
Mrs. Curtin was preceded in death by her husband, Luia Curtin; and her daughter, Joy Causby.
Survivors include her two daughters, Sandra McClain of Lenoir, N.C. and Wendy Faircloth of Cookville, Tenn.; sister, Clarine Goins of Ringold, Ga.; and many great grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 2, at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Vanderwall Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Carroll officiating. Burial will be alongside her husband at Dayton City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 2, at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
