Roger Scott “Scottie” Ross, 52, of Evensville, passed away Monday, Sept. 2, 2019, at his home.

Scottie was a longtime resident of Rhea County and of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 512 F&AM in Dayton, Shriners of Chattanooga and Scottish Rite. He worked several years at La-Z-Boy Chair Company in Dayton and he loved ballgames.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger Theodore Ross and Judy Smith Ross; grandparents, Howard and Mary Ross; and son, Travis Ross.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Ross of Evensville; children, Heather Ross and Jessica Ross, both of Rockwood, Tenn., and Nick Ross, of Dunlap, Tenn.; sisters, Janet Goodman, of Lenoir City, Tenn., Janice Hale, of Pikeville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and one nephew.

Funeral services will be Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home. Interment will be at Pierce Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019, from 5 to 8 p.m.

A Masonic service will be at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
