Marvin Lee Calbough, 81, of Hixson, Tenn., passed away early Friday morning, June 28, 2019, at Memorial Health Care in Chattanooga. He was born on May 28, 1938, in Meigs County, Tenn., the son of the late Samuel and Alice Martin Calbough. Marvin was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Evelyn Calbough.
Marvin was raised in Dayton and was a Rhea Central High School graduate, Class of 1956. He served his country with the U.S. Army and retired as a supervisor with DuPont after 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and was a member of Hixson First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Donna Coxey Calbough; daughter, Teresa (Mike) Dinger; and son, Terry Calbough, all of Hixson, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Haille Dinger, Hunter Dinger, Molly Calbough and Cash Calbough; and sister, Joyce (Darwin) Whitman, of Dayton.
A private family graveside service with military honors will be held Sunday afternoon following the visitation at Rhea Memory Gardens.
