Earline “Mimi” Mobley, 91, died Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at Spring City Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Langley, S.C., Mimi was the daughter of the late Ernest and Nellie Harris Timmerman. She was a nurse for 40 years and retired working at the Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Mimi moved from Florida to the Spring City community 20 years ago. She was a dog lover and would always take in all strays. Mimi was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest “Jack” Mobley; and her sister, Inez Owens.
Survivors include her son, Wayne (Nancy) Gunter, of Spring City; grandchildren, Brian (Anita) Gunter, of Spring City, and Dana (Carl) Thunquist, of Dayton; great grandchildren, Drew Gunter, Cameron Thunquist and Karlee Thunquist; special cousin, Linda Timmerman, of Greenwood, S.C.; and special friend, Joan Norris, of Spring City.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Spring City Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jim Purser officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 15, 2019, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Vaughn Funeral Home.
