Rozella “Cricket” Godsey, 83, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, at her home.
She was born Feb. 28, 1936, in Grandview, to the late Lester and Clara Garrison Jolley. A lifelong seamstress, Rozella retired from the La-Z-Boy after 22 years. She was a very active member of Spring City Foursquare Church. Rozella loved gardening — both flowers and vegetables. She could grow anything!
Rozella was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine Godsey; daughter, Vickie Powell; sisters, Juanita Osborne, Jewell Edwards and Helen Swafford; and brother, Paul Jolley.
Survivors include her children, David (Angie) Godsey and Karen (Jeff) Reed, both of Grandview; sisters, Edna Keylon and Betty Bare, both of Spring City, and Mary Sue Parsons, of Crossville, Tenn.; special sister-in-law, Jane Godsey, of Spring City; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be Wednesday Feb. 5, 2020, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. David Daniels officiating. Interment will follow at Johnson Stand Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
