Samuel ‘Sam’ Wallace Rusbridge , 72, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019 in Dayton.

Sam was born in Dayton on Oct. 31, 1946. He was a twin and the second of six children. He spent his childhood years in the Evensville area. He was a graduate of Rhea Central High School and continued his education at Tennessee Technological University where he received a BS degree in Industrial Technology. He later earned his MBA from Georgia Southern University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Evensville United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Charlotte Montgomery Buttram; and his brother, Bill Rusbridge.

He is survived by his son, Jeff (Ashley) Rusbridge, of Canton, Ga.; grandsons, Luke and Will Rusbridge; sisters, Martha (Eddie) Calbaugh, of Evensville, and Mary Ann Buttram, of Evensville; brothers, Tom (Brenda) Rusbridge, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Don (Diana) Buttram, of Shady Dale, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Aug. 16, 2019, at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with Dr. William Boyd officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Aug. 16, 2019 from 4 to 6 p.m.
