Macay Hedrick, 24, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2019, at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn.
A lifetime resident of Spring City, Macay attended Rhea County High School. He loved sports, fishing, the University of Michigan Wolverines and U. F. C. Fights. Most of all, he loved his family and his children.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandfathers, Johnie Bolton, Clayton Dunnagan and Albert Pergeau; and his uncle, Eric Bolton.
Survivors include his mother, Jennifer (Clemente) Castaneda, of Spring City; father Michael Dunnagan, of Lenox, Mich.; fiancé, Allysia Manzano, of Spring City; children, Kylee Sharp and Makenna Hedrick, both of Spring City; brothers, Daniel Castaneda, Ethan Hedrick, Luis Castaneda and E. J. Castaneda, all of Spring City; sisters, Sheena Resendiz, of Athens, Tenn., Stephanie Castaneda, of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Mari Castaneda, of Spring City; maternal grandmother, Monica Bolton, of Spring City; maternal grandfather, Robert (Kim) Hedrick, of Hazel Park, Mich.; paternal grandparents, Joe and Dixie Dunnagan, of Lenox, Mich.; great-grandmothers, Donna Bolton, of Spring City, Lola Dunnagan, of Ferndale, Mich., and Elsie Pergeau, of Hazel Park, Mich.; great-grandfather, John Hedrick, of White Lake, Mich.; in-laws, Melissa and Ramiro Manzano, of Dayton; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his dog, Jax.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Jouben officiating. Interment will be at Spring City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
