Michael Yarber, 61, of Crossville, Tenn., passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2019. He was born Oct. 9, 1957, in Athens, Tenn., the son of Clarence and Jackie Stephenson Yarber. He was an educator, having taught high school in Knox County, Sevier County and locally at Stone Memorial High School before his latest position in Rhea County.

He was also a very active member of Lantana Road Baptist Church. He had a tremendous love of animals, especially his horses and rescue dogs and cats. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Yarber, of Crossville, Tenn.; mother, Jackie Price, of Crossville, Tenn.; stepdaughters, Lori (Joey) Turner, of Seymour, Tenn., Lana (Audrey) Covington, of Johnson City, Tenn., and Elizabeth Lynn Frye, of Powell, Tenn.; grandchildren, Jacob Colby, Bethany (Corey) Todd, Holden Norton, Garrett Turner, Devon Colby, Parker Norton, Alison Colby, Nicholas Norton and Brielle Turner; and great-grandchild, Cayden Colby.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019, from 1 to 3 p.m. CST at Hood Funeral Home in Crossville, Tenn. Burial will be Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019, at Sherwood Gardens and Memorial Park in Knoxville, Tenn.
