Robert “Bob” Allen Oiler Sr., 66, of Dayton, passed away early Tuesday morning, Sept. 3, 2019, at Rhea Medical Center in Dayton. He was born on Sept. 5, 1952, in Huntington, W.V., the son of the late Leo and Sadie McClelland Oiler.
Bob lived in Dayton for the past 30 years. He was employed with IAC where he was a process engineer. Bob loved his family and his motorcycle, and was of the Protestant faith.
He is survived by his wife, Cookie Oiler; his children, Robert ”Bobby” (Renee) Oiler Jr., of Mentor, Ohio, and Jessica (Mike) Lawson, Brian (Casey) Oiler, Amy Oiler, Stephen Oiler and Daniel Oiler, all of Dayton; his grandchildren, Megan, Zach, Emmalee, Mikayla, Tyler, Marshall, Karlie, Ava, Kameron, Isaac, Sophia and Jackson; his great-grandchildren, Maverek and Oona; and his sisters, Ruth Thompson, of Huntington, W.V., and Thelma Granado, of San Jose, Calf.
Funeral services for Bob will be held Friday, Sept. 6, 2019, at 11 a.m. in the Vanderwall Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ken Roles officiating. He will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens.
