Carrie Lynn Coffelt, 39, of Dayton passed away Saturday afternoon, July 13, 2019, at her home. She was born in Chattanooga, Tenn., on Oct. 6, 1979, and lived in Rhea County for most of her life. She was a graduate of Rhea County High School Class of 1997 and formerly was employed as a teacher’s assistant at Graysville Elementary School.
She is survived by her three sons, Austin Thurman, Chance Thurman and Ethan Thurman all at home; her dad and mom, Douglas and Candy Crawley, of Dayton; her brother, Nicholas (Tiffany Mitchell) Coffelt, of Graysville; two sisters, Beth (Brian) Huff, of Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., and Nicole (Tanner) Finnell, of Cleveland, Tenn.; and two grandmothers, Grace Coffelt, of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Virginia Pruett, of Dayton. Carrie is also survived by her two caregivers, Gina Self of Pikeville and Tiffany Mitchell, of Graysville; four nieces, Micheala Huff, Delaney Huff, Maggie Finnell and Emily Finnell; two stepbrothers, Robbie Beard and Shawn (Amy) Crawley; and niece, Karinn Crawley, all of Ten Mile, Tenn.
Funeral services for Carrie will be held Monday, July 15, 2019, at 7 p.m. in the Vanderwall Funeral Home Chapel with Dwayne Goins and Michael Palmer officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Rogers Family Cemetery in Dunlap, Tenn.
