The Rhea Middle School Softball team has been batting around .500 in the win column recently.

The hometown girls defeated Ocoee Middle School's Lady Colts 5-3 on Sept. 1, and walloped Chilhowee 15-3 on Thursday.

Rhea Middle also blistered McMinn Central 12-2 on Thursday, but fell to Meigs County 11-0 on Monday, Aug. 31 and Ocoee Middle 6-0 on Sept. 2.

The junior varsity girls have won two, lost two and tied one since Aug. 31.

Further game statistics were not available at press time.

RMS was slated to play in the ASA Middle School Tournament at Warner Park over the weekend, beginning wtih a game against Jasper Middle School Friday night.
