RCHS BOWLERS ROLL PAST HIXSON WILDCATS

RCHS Eagle bowler Phillip Rogers eyes the outcome of his roll during a recent match at Crystal Lanes Bowling Center. Rogers averaged a 205 and knocked down 615 pins in three games in the Eagles’ match win over the Hixson Wildcats on Monday.

The Rhea County High School Eagle bowling teams hosted the Hixson High School Wildcats on Monday at Crystal Lanes Bowling Center, and struck a 2-0 record.

In the non-district contest, the Lady Eagles won 23-4, while the Eagles secured a 19-8 win.

The Rhea girls’ team improved to 3-7 (1-7) on the season, and the Rhea boy rollers up their record to 10-4 (7-3).

The Rhea girls’ team collected a 2,083 total pinfall count to Hixson’s 1,159 in the win on Monday.

Lady Eagle scorers include:  Becca Rogers (155, 180, 110); Georgia Sutton (109, 99, 153); Kate Woods (108, 137, 136); Ally Gentry (94, 114, 114); Jennifer Hernandez (90, 91, 75); Ariana Harvey (129, 98, 91).

The Rhea boys’ squad tallied a 3,129 pinfall count to Hixson’s 2,628 to claim the win.

Rhea scorers include: Phillip Rogers (246, 168, 201); Chase Hoffman (184, 154, 217); Tanner Gaither (142, 244, 213); Junior Hernandez (115, 135); Josh Graham (204, 175, 174); Chance Wampler (148, 161); Jackson McDaniel (142, 106).

The Rhea bowlers will host the Soddy-Daisy High School Trojans on Monday, Dec. 9, beginning at 3:45 p.m., at Crystal Lanes Bowling Center.
