The Dayton City School (DCS) Sweatbee basketball teams played host to the Fort Loudoun Middle School Braves on Tuesday night, and came away with a win apiece between the two schools. The Lady Sweatbees fell 41-5, while the DCS boys won 51-16.

Paisley Wilson led the Lady Sweatbees in scoring with four points, which included two 2-point baskets. Galilee Raymer went 1-of-2 from the free throw line for one point.

Scoring from five Sweatbees in the first quarter led to a comfortable 15-6 lead headed to the second quarter. Bryce Dupre (7), Landon Stewart (3), Kyler Akin (2), Rex Pendergrass (2) and Ethan Davis (1) contributed points in the opening quarter.

The DCS offense controlled the second period as well, with Pendergrass leading the charge with six of his game-high 13 points. The Sweatbees led 33-10 at the half. The second half was no different, as DCS outscored the Braves 18-6 for the win.

Scorers for the Sweatbees include:  Pendergrass (13); Dupre 11; Davis 9; Akin 8; Dawson Mickel 3; Stewart 3; Andrew Morgan 2; Jalen Smith 2.

The DCS squads will host Meigs Middle School on Monday, Dec. 2, with one junior varsity game beginning at 4:30 p.m., and varsity games to follow at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
