Rhea Co. (0-0) vs. Cumberland Co. (0-0)

Where: Cumberland County High School in Crossville
When: Kickoff scheduled for 8 p.m.
Series Record: Rhea County leads the series 21-5. They have shut out the Jets 15 of 26 meetings.
Cumberland hasn't won a game in the series since 1984, several years before anyone playing in Friday night"s game was born.
The Eagles are on a 16-game hot streak in the series.
Recent Meetings: Rhea County won last year 35-0 at Eagle Stadium. It was the first meeting of the two teams in seven years, following Rhea County's 28-18 victory in 2000.
Last Week: This is the first week of the season for both teams. However, last week, Cumberland County schools were still not in session due to budgeting problems.
While Rhea County has been in five scrimmages and has over a month of practice, the Jets will have practically no preseason preparation for the matchup.
RCHS Injury Report: According to Head Coach Jason Fitzgerald, Rhea County's starting left guard, senior Preston Harris, broke his hand this week and will be out for a minimum of two games.
CCHS 2007 Record: Cumberland County  went 0-10 in 2007. The Jets also went 0-10 in 2006. They won their last game on Oct. 21, 2005 against Jefferson County 22-14.
CCHS Head Coach:  The Jets are coached by Tony Shultz, who is 0-20 at the school.
CCHS Playmakers: Sophomore Terryl Bowen is slated to start at quarterback.
Cumberland County's line, whose smallest hog is 6"1', 260 lb. Dustin Burgess, should provide strength in the trenches.
At running back, look to see senior Brad Davis, while classmates Cody Vance and Zaq Pearson will be offensive targets at wide receiver.
Defensively, keep an eye out for atypical  nose guard Andrew Phipps, who at 5"5', 170 lb. is rumored to be extremely quick.
Flanking Phipps will be decently sized defensive ends senior Cody Suggs (6", 220 lbs.) and junior Eric Fitzgerald (6"3', 220 lb.).
Linebackers Shawn Scott, Travis Dawson and Shane McGonagle will be the second line of defense, followed by  Ethan Spitler, Lucas Johnson , Kyle Pritchard and Travis Whittenburg in the secondary.
