A Dayton man was indicted by the Rhea County Grand Jury last week on charges of raping his 16-year-old daughter.
Ronnie Allen Holderby, 46, of Dayton, was arrested Thursday and charged with two counts of rape, two counts of incest and three counts of sexual battery. The Rhea County Grand Jury handed up an original indictment against Holderby on Dec. 4. He is currently being held at the Rhea County Jail pending payment of a $20,000 bond.
An anonymous friend of the girl contacted the Tennessee Department of Children's Services in November and told them that the girl had indicated her father had sexually molested her during the summer of 2000.
Investigator Chris Sneed with the Dayton Police Department interviewed Holderby on Dec. 1 at which time Holderby admitted to sexually assaulting his daughter several times during the summer, according to Sneed.
The girl lived with her father and grandmother, and the attacks allegedly took place in a shed behind their home, according to Sneed.
