Rev. Grant and Family

Rev. David Grant is the newly appointed minister at Spring City United Methodist Church. He will lead his first morning worship service on Sunday, July 5, at 11 a.m.

Grant grew up in Chattanooga, Tenn. He majored in Biology at Tennessee Technological University with an emphasis in Environmental Microbiology an attended East Tennessee State University where he earned a Master’s of Science degree in Environmental Health.

Grant served as youth director for four years at White Oak United Methodist Church until he moved on the campus of Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Ky., to finish seminary. He served as the minister of St. Mark United Methodist Church in Clinton, Tenn., before his appointment at Spring City United Methodist Church. Grant has served as the chair of the Holston Conference Camp and Retreat Ministries and the Registrar of the Tennessee Valley District Committee on Ministry.

Grant’s wife, Bobbie, will teach Geometry this year at Rhea County High School. They have three daughters, Meri, Ashley, and Sophie.
