Ladies “60+ young” are encouraged to come and be a part of the Rhea County Fair’s Our Fair Lady Pageant.
The pageant will be held on Thursday, Aug. 12, at the Fairground Stage beginning at 6:20 p.m.
Contestants must be 60 years or older to participate in the pageant’s two age categories. Our Fair Lady consists of participants between the ages of 60 and 69 while Senior Our Fair Lady participants are ages 70 and over.
Participants in both categories need to be available to attend a variety of events to represent Rhea County throughout the year, provide a recent headshot photo (4x6) of only the contestant, provide a written statement of their “Philosophy of Life,” and wear formal attire and participate in an onstage interview during the pageant
A $25 entry fee per contestant is required for participation and sponsorships are allowed. Deadline for entry is August 2.
Prospective contestants are invited to a “Flamingle” meet-and-greet brunch on July 31, at the Rhea County Sheriff’s Department Training Center, located at 711 Eagle Lane in Evensville, beginning at 1 p.m. Previous titleholders will be present to offer advice and encouragement as well as showcase their talent.
