The Southeast Tennessee Human Resource Agency (SETHRA) will be distributing USDA commodities to eligible Rhea County residents on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Army National Guard Armory, located on Manufacturers Road in Dayton.

No commodity cards are required to receive commodities on this day.  Recipients who have been issued a card before Oct. 1, 2019 may collect commodities without additional documentation.

Those who have not been issued a commodity card since Oct. 1, 2019, must provide proof of income for all household members or proof of category eligibility (SNAP, TANF, SSI or Utility Assistance or residence in a PHA) to participate.

Eligibility is based on total household income not in excess of the State-established maximum percentage of the poverty line for the appropriate household size.

In accordance with Federal law and USDA policy, SETHRA is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.
