The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving a school bus and two other vehicles on Thursday, Feb. 11, according to reports.

Officials with the Rhea County Sheriff’s Department said there were only minor injuries at the scene.

The wreck occurred at around 4 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Highway 68 and Cemetery Road in Spring City, reports state.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol released more information on Friday, and according to reports, the investigation indicates that the school bus was making a left turn but may have failed to yield the right-of-way to an SUV, which collided with the bus. The first collision then caused the school bus to hit a pick up truck, officials said.

Students on the bus, according to reports, were able to make it back to their homes shortly after the incident.
