MainStreet Dayton is happy to announce the new executive director — Candice Graham.
Graham said she is excited to learn about her hometown in a whole new way! As a lifelong resident of Dayton she and her husband of 13 years are raising their four daughters here as well.
Graham has experience working with the community as her husband pastors Unity Gospel Church in Graysville. Her family is all located within the Dayton area and are excited to see her take on this new position.
She is passionate about small town life. Her children participate in local recreational groups, she and her family shop in local stores and dine in local restaurants. Graham said she will strive to help sustain local businesses so the charm of Dayton can continue for generations to come, just as her grandparents and parents did for her.
“I’m looking forward to peeking behind the curtain to see what goes on behind the scenes of things I have enjoyed my whole life,” Graham said.
Graham takes the torch from previous director Rachel Marshall who has served in that role since 2015.
“I have loved this job, and getting to know my community, but it is time for me to spend more time with my family,” Marshall said. “I am sad to go, but I know I’m doing the right thing for me, and I’m leaving MainStreet Dayton in extremely capable hands!”
The transition will take place at the end of April. The MainStreet Dayton office is available by phone or email only due to COVID-19.
