The identity of an alleged homicide victim has been released by investigators with the Rhea County Sheriff’s Department.
Rhea County Sheriff’s Department Investigator Chris Hall said that Eleuterio Galvez is the alleged victim of a homicide that took place earlier this month. He also said that the incident is still under investigation.
An Evensville woman was charged with homicide for her alleged role in the death of Galvez on Tuesday, Feb. 2, according to law enforcement officials.
Amy McCampbell is facing one charge of criminal negligent homicide, a felony.
Rhea County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy John Argo said that deputies were dispatched to McCampbell’s home on Evensville Mountain Road on Feb. 2. Upon further investigation, deputies gathered enough information to charge McCampbell with criminal negligent homicide.
She was arrested and booked into the Rhea County Jail on Wednesday, Feb. 3, and according to jail records, no bond has yet been set.
