Susan Annette Smith, 55, died Friday, July 5, 2019, at Rhea Medical Center.
A lifetime resident of Spring City, Susan was a graduate of Rhea County High School and Roane State Community College. Susan worked for many years at Wolf Creek Market. She was active in helping the needy and loved crafts. But, her passion was her family. Susan was a member of Texas Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Smith; and granddaughter, Lexie Hill.
Survivors include her husband, Chris Hill, of Spring City; parents Henry Clay and Peggy McNeal Smith; children. Brittany (Jesse) O’Dell, of Spring City, Morgan (Megan) Smith, of Dayton, Dylan Hill (Svetlana Hall), of Spring City, Chris H. Hill II, of Spring City, and Bradley N. Hill of Chattanooga, Tenn.; brothers, Doyle (Katie) Smith, of Spring City, and Dennis McNeal, of Nashville, Tenn.; sister, Janie Knight, of Evensville; and grandchildren, Harmony, Kenny, Caleb, Ava, Caden, Ridley, Trinity and Malachi.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at 2 p.m. in chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Norman Huskey officiating. Interment will be at Porter-Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, July 8, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
