Jenny Lou Guthrie, 30, died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, at her residence.
Born on April 30, 1990, Jenny was a lifetime resident of Spring City. She attended Rhea County High School and was employed by La-Z-Boy Corporation. Jenny enjoyed singing on the app “Starmaker.” She enjoyed her family and spending time with her fiancé of nine years, Derrick Couch.
Jenny was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn McDonald Schultz.
Survivors include her fiancé, Derrick Couch of Dayton; son, Braylen Guthrie of Spring City; father, Keith Guthrie of Dayton; stepfather, Robert “Bones” Schultz of Spring City; grandmother, Esther McDonald of Spring City; grandfather, Bill McDonald of Chattanooga, Tenn.; brother, Derik Adam Brown of Cleveland, Tenn.; aunts, Lou Emel, Marilyn Boles and Phyllis Hill all of Spring City; and uncle, John Guthrie of Dayton.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Porter-Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Forgey officiating. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vaughn Funeral Home, P. O. Box 129, Spring City, TN 37381, to defray funeral expenses.
