Nancy Deloris Smith, 63, of Dayton, died Monday, July 27, 2020, surrounded by her family. Nancy was a member of Community Freewill Baptist Church. During her lifetime she worked as a tow motor operator for several years at an automotive plant, loved to keep her grandbabies, read, and be outdoors.
Preceding Nancy in death was her mother, Oma Rogers Ricketts; brother, Jim Ricketts.
Nancy will be dearly missed by her husband of 30 years, Ronnie Lee Smith; son, Steven (Kendall) Brown; daughters, Stephanie (Ronnie Linville) Brown, Kimberly (Scott) Keith, Bridget (Kevin) Layne and Christy (James Holland) Hobbs; brother, Greg (Shelia) Shell; sister, Connie (Donald) Heath; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends.
A celebration of life will be held 2 p.m. CDT on Thursday, July 30, 2020, at Community Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Jimmy Jewell officiating. Burial will at Kiuka Cemetery in Rhea County.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, and from 12 noon until service time on Thursday, July 29, 2020, at Community Freewill Baptist Church.
