Emma Lee Price, 90, died Friday, July 31, 2020, at the Life Care Center of Rhea County.
Born on June 8, 1930, in Spring City, Emma Lee was the daughter of the late Wilker and Elsie Wright Burnett Sr. She moved back to Spring City from Ohio in 1978. Emma Lee was an upholsterer for most of her working career. She love to sew and crochet and could paint oil sceneries and stills. Most of all, she enjoyed keeping house and caring for her family. In her younger days, she and her sister, Delores, would play the guitar and sing together. She was a member of Watts Bar Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Wilma “Toostie” Foy; brothers, Manuel Burnett, Wilker Burnett Jr., Glen Burnett and an infant brother; sisters, Imogene Reed, Eula Mae Orick and Dolores Cadle; great-grandson, Branston Smith; and great-great-granddaughter, Aryan Ferrell
Survivors include her children, Brenda (Jeff) Harris, Wendall Smith and Ernest Price, all of Spring City; sister, Wilma Simonds; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 3, 2020, at Watts Bar Church of God with Rev. Kelly Goins officiating. Interment will be at Spring City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, August 3, 2020, from noon to 2 p.m. at Watts Bar Church of God.
