Ralph F. Holloway, 86, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021, at Erlanger Medical Center.
He was born on Feb. 16, 1935, the son of the late Homer and Vera Billingsley Holloway. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served his country during the Korean Conflict. Ralph spent his working career as a prison guard for the State of Tennessee Prison System in Nashville, retiring in 1992. He moved back to Spring City permanently from Nashville in 2016. Ralph enjoyed people. His poodles Keo I, II and III were each his constant companions. He was a member of Spring City Church of Christ.
Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Margaret Cagle Holloway; son Freddie Holloway; and sister, Sarah Davenport.
Survivors include his daughters, Dale (Steve) Sharpe of Dayton, Gale (Milton) Garrison of Grandview and Karon (Tim) Wilson of Livingston, Tenn.; son, Tim (Melissa) Holloway of Alcoa, Tenn.; stepdaughter, Connie Bogart of Johnson City, Tenn., sisters, Geraldine (Finley) Bandy and Nancy Smith both of Hixson, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 22, 2021 at Spring City Cemetery with Darrell Reed officiating. There will be no visitation.
