Jackie Gale Knox Sr., 78, of Dayton, passed away Monday, June 29, 2020, at Rhea Medical Center.
Jackie was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and a member of Odgen Baptist Church. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved fishing, bass tournaments and was well known to the community for selling and delivering produce.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Beauford Cranfield; and sister, Judy Cranfield.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Hale Knox; children, Beverly Fullam and Jackie (Sherry) Knox Jr.; brothers, Billy Cranfield, Coley (Nancy) Cranfield, Dean Cranfield and David (Patty) Cranfield; sister-in-law, Decie Cranfield; grandchildren, Roy ”RT” (Samantha Elliott) Fullam, Jaclyn (Lance) Watson, Deanna (Matt) Rose, Heather (Chris) Snyder and Daniel Hale; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2020, at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with Rev Clyde Fitzgerald officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 2, 2020, from 3 to 5 p.m.
