Garland Rodger Knox

Garland Rodger Knox, 62, of Dayton, passed away on Friday, Nov. 20, 2020, at his residence. Garland was a lifelong resident of Rhea County. He was a truck driver for IAC in Dayton. He enjoyed woodworking and he loved Chevrolet vehicles.

Garland was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Ruth Knox; and his brother, Billy McMillion.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki Knox of Dayton; children, Brandalyn Yakubek and Robby Smith, both of Dayton; one brother, Boyd Knox of Evensville; and his pet, Princess “Bree Bree.” Other survivors include grandchildren, Emmary Yakubek, Dustin Smith, Kaleb Smith, Madalyn Newby, Josiah Garland and Abigail Garland.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020, from 10 am to 2 p.m. at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Chip Beaulieu officiating. Burial will be at Rigsby Cemetery.
