Patricia “Patty” Ervin, 66, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2020, at her residence.
Born on March 5, 1954, she was a lifelong resident of Spring City. Patty was the daughter of the late Earl Mathis and Elsie Cagle Mathis Morgan. She was a graduate of Spring City High School, Class of 1972. Patty was an office manager in the medical field for 35 years. She loved singing, traveling, camping, playing dominoes and spending time with family and friends. Patty was a faithful member of Wolf Creek Baptist Church in Spring City. She loved her church family.
Patty is survived by her husband, Robert W. Ervin, of Spring City; children, Amber (Joe) Roper and Adam (Rena) Ervin, both of Spring City; sister, Kathy (Mark) Reeves, of Knoxville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; great-grandson, Mathis Colt Moralas; special friends, Robbie and Beverly Gray and Pattie and Alvin Dodson; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and her dog “Jingle”.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020, at Wolf Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Forgey officiating. The body will lie in state from 3 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020, at the church. Interment will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020, at Spring City Memorial Gardens.
