The Rhea County High School Golden Eagle cross-country team recently competed in a pair of meets, the first being in Cookeville at the Burnett Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 25, and the second one at the Sequatchie Count Meet on Tuesday, Sept. 29.
RCHS at Cookeville
Despite missing a few runners due to various reasons, the Rhea team forged ahead to the Burnett Invitational. According to Eagle XC head coach, Amy Baird, there was great competition there, and it was a pretty tough course, with three runners having their season-best times. Those runners included Emily Cathey, Alvin Bishop and Jackson Myers.
