The Rhea County High School Lady Eagles’ volleyball team went 3-0 on the week, as they defeated three opponents in as many days.

On Tuesday, the Lady Eagles traveled and faced District 6-AAA foe, Warren County High School Lady Pioneers. The Rhea junior varsity squad captured a 2-0 win in the best of three sets, as the varsity Lady Eagles swept the Lady Pioneers 3-0, in the best of five sets.

The Lady Eagles hosted the Red Bank Lions on Wednesday. Both Rhea squads posted shut out wins over the visitors, with the Rhea junior varsity coasting to a 2-0 win and the Lady Eagles’ varsity team securing a 3-0 mark to claim the non-district victory. The Rhea varsity scores were 25-21, 25-21 and 27-25.

To conclude their busy week, the Lady Eagles hosted the Stone Memorial High School Lady Panthers on Thursday, and picked up freshman, junior varsity and varsity shut out wins for the district win.

The Lady Eagles will host the Cookeville High School Lady Cavaliers on Tuesday, Sept. 8, with games slated for 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.
