RCHS Soccer camp announced

Rhea Co Soccer Camp- June 7-10 – RCHS Girls Tryouts- May 27, 8:00-10:00 am – RCHS Boys Tryouts- May 27, 12:00-2:00

Soccer Camp is for K-8th graders, it is a 4 day camp filled with tons of fun, touches on the ball, competition, building relationships, winning prizes, scoring goals, and our famous water day with a slip-n-slide! The camp is put on by our high school team, and we are currently looking for sponsors, please reach out to us if you’re interested in sponsoring camp! If you share this post before May 31st, you will go in a drawing to win a free week of camp for a student of your choice!  Breakfast and lunch provided, and a camp t-shirt! $50, 8-noon each day.

Chuck Copeland Memorial Kids Free Fishing Rodeo announced

The Town of Spring City and the Watts Bar Lake Association recently announced that the annual Chuck Copeland Memorial Kids Free Fishing Rodeo on Saturday, June 12, at Veterans Park.

Gates open and fishing begins at 7 a.m. Nets will be placed in the water, and catfish will be stocked prior to the event by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. The event is held in conjunction with the state’s Free Fishing Day and nets will be in place all weekend.

Due to COVID-19, there will be no food, drinks, snacks or bait this year.

Dayton Golf and Country Club Youth Clinic

Dates:   June 29,30 and July 1st  Tuesday –Thursday

Time: 8:30-11:30 AM

Cost : $30.00

Registration: will begin June 29 at 8:00 am

Breakfast provided daily

Prizes awarded daily

The Clinic is open to children ages 7-15.

The clinic will include a drive, chip and putt contest. Station work . Children need to bring their own golf clubs with them each day and a water bottle.

Eagle tennis camp announced

JULY 12-15, 2021

Rhea County High School and Middle School tennis coaches Lil Andrews, James Fields, Gina Sneed, and Andrea Watson, are directing the 16th annual tennis camp for boys and girls, ages 6-17, July 12-15 (Fri. July 16-rain date), at the Delaware Avenue Tennis Courts, Dayton.   Hours:  8:30-11:15 a.m. Various age and ability groups are accommodated on separate courts.
